Projects

TEPETL is a landscape and territory practice and workshop based in Mexico City. Our work begins by reading topography, surface and underground runoff, ecotones, vegetation units, and the history of each site, in order to translate that reading into a spatial and constructive logic. We work across scales ranging from the smallest detail to the urban and territorial landscape, understanding each project as an operational adaptation in which topography, substrates, vegetation, and materials are calibrated to the specific conditions of the site. In this sense, research invites us to develop a reading of the territorial and local landscape, while the project enables us to amplify it and make it legible in the present.
