Laguna's Planters

This project emerges from an exploration of the concept of micro-utopias through a series of self-built planters along the sidewalk of Laguna. The idea of micro-utopias suggests a decentralized network of small utopian projects that exist as an alternative to singular, monolithic utopias.

The planters originate within the heavily anthropized landscape of the Colonia Doctores and encourage a renewed engagement with the sidewalk as a landscape and shared public space, approached through new ecological frameworks. These small initiatives seek to activate community participation and to offer tangible visions of possible futures.
